Who we are
BPR Tech is a mobile mechanic operating across Nottinghamshire, UK. When you contact us or book a repair, we decide how your details are used, which makes us the data controller. You can reach us on 07896 928875 or at admin@bprtech.net.
What we collect
- When you ask for a quote — your first name, phone number, email address, vehicle registration, postcode, and whatever you tell us about the problem. We ask for the registration and postcode because we cannot quote or turn up without them.
- Spam protection — the form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks the submission is from a person rather than a script. Cloudflare processes your IP address to do that. It does not track you across websites.
- When you book online — bookings go through GarageShift, who run their own booking system and handle the details you give them under their own privacy notice.
- Website analytics, only if you agree — we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It is switched off until you press Accept on the cookie notice, and pressing Decline keeps it off and sets no cookie. It never tells us who you are.
- No advertising. This site sets no advertising cookies and we do not use your visit to target you with adverts elsewhere.
Why we use it
Quote requests are used to answer you and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to somebody who has contacted us about their vehicle — and, once you book, performance of a contract. Analytics runs on consent, which is why it does nothing until you give it.
We do not sell your data, and asking for a quote does not put you on a marketing list.
Who else sees it
This website is built and maintained for us by Dalton Digital, who act as our processor. Form submissions are delivered to us through their systems and are briefly held by Vercel, who host the site, if we cannot be reached at the moment you send them. GarageShift handles online bookings. Google receives the analytics data described above, but only if you have accepted the cookie notice. Each of those providers processes data under its own terms, and none of them is permitted to use your details for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months, so we can pick the conversation back up if you return. Records of work carried out, including invoices, are kept for six years because tax law requires it.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. Email admin@bprtech.net or call 07896 928875 and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
